Body Maintenance & Injury Prevention Seminar

Dr Kathy Long joins our panel on Wednesday, May 18!Taking care of your health and body is the single most important thing you can do for a successful life and career. If you are experiencing chronic pain or injury, this is something you cannot put off any longer. Thinking ahead, developing healthy habits and avoiding chronic & repetitive injury should be thought of as retirement planning as poor habits now will drastically affect your ability to do the things you enjoy once you retire. On Wednesday, May 18 we will be hosting a seminar that illustrates the importance of a full body approach towards taking care of your body & health. Our Body Maintenance & Injury Prevention Seminar will benefit your ability to enjoy life now and far into the future. I consider this one of the most important events we offer and we are pleased to have four doctors joining us for this seminar that can dramatically improve your ability to enjoy life: Dr Jason Pimentel, DC. CCSP will be leading the discussion on proper posture and how to avoid long term injury from simple daily tasks such as lifting equipment, pushing a cart, or working at a computer. We will also discuss the importance of good sleeping habits and how to form them. Dr David Abri, DDS will be with us to discuss the often overlooked warning signs & treatment for periodontal illness. Kidney and liver diseases have been linked to poor dental health and if you cannot properly chew your food, you can develop digestion problems which will limit your ability to get the nutrition that you need. Dr Ray Hatami, DDS will discuss dental trauma and what to do when we or someone we know looses a tooth. Immediate and proper care is essential to being able to restore the tooth. I am happy to announce that Dr Kathy Long, Licensed Acupuncturist of Mehta Family Healthcare, will be joining our panel this month. Dr Long will discuss the importance of a full body approach to health through acupuncture, nutrition, massage, and other traditional methods. One of Dr Longs specialties is stress management which is of particular importance to working in our industry. This seminar will be held at IATSE Local 728. The address is 1001 W. Magnolia Blvd in Burbank. The seminar will begin at 7:00PM and last approximately 2 hours. Parking is available in the back of the building and on the nearby streets. This seminar is open to members of all unions as well as their families and friends. Alan
